My wife and I hired Carolina Catering to serve dinner at our beach-side wedding reception. To begin, Bo took time to find out what kind of food we enjoyed and used his culinary knowledge to build a menu around our tastes. Once our menu was set, we were able to taste a few of the dishes we were going to serve our guests. From there it was smooth sailing until our wedding day. Bo and his staff worked diligently at our reception to ensure that the food and its presentation were top-notch. The results speak for themselves; our guests raved about the appetizers and meal. Everything was delicious! Working with Carolina Catering was a great experience!

My husband and I happily write this letter to recommend and laud the talents of Bo Perkins and Carolina Catering Company. We had the good fortunate of having them cater our wedding reception in May of 2007. Not only was the food delicious, but the presentation was festive and imaginative providing a wonderful and complete experience. We continue to receive compliments from our guests on the job Carolina Catering did. We hope anyone reading this letter will have an excuse to retain its services.

From the beginning, Bo made our job easy despite the stress inherent in wedding planning. His easy going demeanor kept the process calm and smooth. We wanted a sound side reception in Avon in the sand – not the easiest place to serve 200 people. Bo and the rest of Carolina Catering didn’t miss a beat so that no one went without and we had a hassle-free reception of our dreams.

In fact, the only difficult part was choosing what to serve. Carolina Catering’s menus provided such an amazing array of delicious options that we were continually at a loss to make a decision. From pork with ginger sugar cane to dijon crusted rack of lamb, everything sounded scrumptious and tantalizing. We ultimately decided on a little bit of everything. Beginning with several appetizers such as bacon-wrapped scallops and ham crepes with tarragon and mustard cream sauce, all offered by smiling servers, our guests were never want for a treat. We even had a raw bar which came, as a surprise for us, with a fantastic ice sculpture. Bo made the cocktail hour itself into an event!

Our entrées were not to be outdone however. We went with several buffet stations and couldn’t have been happier. The pasta station gave Italy a run for its money with vodka, marinara, and white wine sauces along with fresh seafood and vegetables to meet any tastes to order. Our ‘steak expert’ friends and family were simply blown away by the prime rib. Even the sides and salads were amazing rounding out the meal perfectly. We were ecstatic to hear time and again that our wedding served the best food of any wedding our guests had attended. Bo and Carolina Catering did that for us.

We can’t begin to describe how happy we were with our reception. Carolina Catering gave us an amazing dining experience and truly surpassed all our expectations. We wish them all the success in the world and eagerly await our next chance to retain their talents again.
